Development history
Poland studied the American Christie suspension and licensed the concept, producing the 10TP as a fast cruiser that could run on road wheels for strategic moves and drop onto tracks for combat. The single prototype covered around two thousand kilometres in trials during 1938 and performed well mechanically, but the wheel-and-track mechanism was complex, heavy and, as most armies concluded in the same years, not worth its cost. Work moved to the purely tracked 14TP. The 10TP prototype was in Warsaw when the war began and its fate is unrecorded; nothing survives.
