Development history
The SU-14 mounted a 203 mm howitzer, later a 152 mm long gun, on a lengthened T-35 heavy tank chassis, with the crew standing in an open pit around the breech. Two prototypes were built, the programme died with the purge of its designers, and the vehicles sat at the Kubinka proving ground until 1941, when one was given an armoured box shield and both were used as fixed artillery in the defence of Moscow. Listed here as a prototype series rather than a production type; one survives at Kubinka.
