Development history
The KV-3 lengthened the KV-1 hull by a road wheel and thickened its front to 120 mm, with a new turret for the 107 mm ZIS-6. A single armoured hull was completed at Izhora in the summer of 1941; the turret and gun were never mated to it, and the programme died with the evacuation of Leningrad industry.
