Development history
Where the Medium Mark A Whippet was crude, the Medium C was carefully engineered: a taller rhomboid hull, a raised fighting cabin, a smooth Ricardo engine and controls a single driver could manage. Four thousand were planned for the 1919 offensives; some fifty were completed after the Armistice. They soldiered on through the early 1920s in training and public display roles, including the 1919 Victory Parade, and were the last of the British rhomboid line before turreted designs took over.
