Development history
When IS hulls replaced KV production the SU-152 was redesigned around the new chassis as the ISU-152. Its 43 kg shell wrecked fortifications and could disable any German tank by blast alone, earning the crews the nickname Zveroboy, beast killer. It fought from late 1943 through Berlin, and served with Warsaw Pact and Egyptian forces long after the war.
